Key's Keys- "Saddle Your Fire Horse"- Feb 7th, 2026
Words of wisdom for those getting ready to charge- don't get caught up in the hype or you might lose the incredible progress you've made
Hello beautiful souls,
The Fire Horse is coming, and the internet is innundated with posts and excitement on the transformational energies that are set to be incoming feb 17th, the same day we have an annual solar eclipse. We also have Saturn leaving Pisces and moving into Aries. Astrologically we have ton going on, but I only want to speak on one aspect today.
Within all of these planetary alignments, and regardless of your beliefs around them, there is one theme I haven’t heard anyone talking about, and that is the continued duality of the transformational energies currently arising. As a society, we get so excited when we ‘exit’ one thing and ‘enter’ another, there is a kind of solidified threshold where we leave something behind in order to move onto something new, and it is exactly this that I want to warn you about.
The ego loves departures. It also loves new beginnings. It thrives on duality and being able to separate good from bad, right from wrong, was from is. With all the hype right now about the fire horse, people are latching onto this double fire energy and abandoning the work that they have been doing this past year (and beyond) to jump into the new. The combination of the Yang Fire element with the Horse creates “double fire” energy, which can lead to high volatility, impatience, and conflict if not managed properly. It’s easy to seek excitement and use the charge of the collective paradigm of the fire horse to once again lose ourselves and possibly forget the deep, internal growth we have just acquired in favour of the collective energy arising.
We must be careful.
Many of us are so tired, so exhausted from the internal re-alignment and superb growth spurts that we have been moving through that we would give almost anything to be free from the discomfort. I know I’ve been watching this carefully within myself. The fire horse feels like freedom- and it falsely suggests that ease and aligned action are within reach as soon as we cross the threshold.
While this may be true in some ways, many of us are missing the point.
If we do not ground, anchor, and stay authentic to ourselves in this time of change, and despite the energies swirling around us- begging us to take action, dive in and execute- our progress will be lost.
While the fire horse does provide us with an incredible opportunity to expand and claim many of the things we dream of, it is also a test.
If we pour ourselves into the fire horse energy without first fully securing the saddle, we will not be able to execute our dreams, and our progress will collapse.
To fully benefit from the incoming fire horse energies, we must continue to anchor in the progress we have made, authentically align ourselves as opportunities arise, and prevent ourselves from getting caught up solely in the masculine energies incoming.
We must pause before charging. Soften before deciding. Prepare fully and conscientiously. Zoom out in perspective to ensure we can see deeper aspects of choice within the powerful energies available to us.
We already function within a dominant masculine society, and our progress especially over the last year has been about rebalancing our own internal masculine and feminine aspects to find flow, equilibrium, creativity, and authentic expression within ourselves. Snake energy demanded we shed- that we practise letting go, over and over and over, and this was preparing us to take action in equal measure with fire horse energy.
The fire horse tests us and asks us to find pause and prepare- to secure the saddle safely- before taking action to ensure we are conscious, present, and fully aware of each action we take before saying yes and charging into the new.
You have done immense work and made incredible progress in becoming a truer, more aligned version of yourself- as you embrace the fire horse energy do not lose yourself and slide once again into the doing aspect of your life.
The fire horse energies are most powerfully harnessed when we continue to build on what we have been growing, shifting, and tending within us. We must not abandon the work we have been doing because a new energy is available to us.
It seems the fire horse energy is collectively feeling a little bit like how our society views the ‘new year’ come Jan.1st. The trap in this is that our minds, our mental capacity to make changes, alter course, and decide we want something different are not astrologically dependent. If you believe that, your ego is still running the show.
On the other side of this is being aware that we do actually have new energies available to us and all things are connected. They are not mutually exclusive, but we also do not jump out of the old and into the new. The work we have been doing cannot be separated from the opportunities that will arise and provide us with aligned action. But we must prepare accordingly. We cannot lose sight of the deeper purpose, nor believe that the planets are granting us newfound ease and grace.
No one is coming to save us, not even the planets.
There is high risk of burnout in the fire horse energy, and if you are prone to all or nothing behaviour, or have struggled to self regulate or sense your body’s wisdom to rest, pause, and recover, then you must pay close attention in the upcoming year. You must continue to listen deeply to your body, and maintain enough space in your life to slow down, listen, and use discernment with each arising opportunity.
The fire horse energy rewards risk over hesitation, and if we are not authentically aligned, in right relationship with ourselves spiritually and physically, and cannot discern aligned action from recklessness, then we will experience deep setback rather than expansion. We must keep the trajectory aligned and resist the pull of excitement within our energized collective, drawing on it only when clear and concise, and after we have prepared mentally and physically.
If you think you have been uncomfortable over this last year, I am here to remind you that this will only increase in intensity. Do not be afraid. This last year encouraged us to get uncomfortable in the not knowing- not knowing who we are , where we are going, or what our purpose is. This year, after the eclipse on February 17th, we are going to be asked to get comfortable with the discomfort of unprecedented momentum, rapid breakthroughs, and continued disruptive transformation.
Before we can embody ease and grace, the fire horse energies will amplify what we have been feeling over the last year, particularly the last 6 months. What we have been moving through was in preparation for something new, and we are being asked once again to let go of how it will look in favour of feeling the change deeply in our bodies and letting our deepest wisdom and authentic self take the reigns.
We are in amidst a time of incredible change.
We are in one of the most exciting energies of our lives.
The shedding does not stop as we take aligned action. We are being asked to test out our new selves, the new snake bodies we carry, and stay close the earth, grounded and connected to our planet. At the same time, we are being invited to take new action, having shed our old selves.
We cannot forget that our current version of ourselves will also outgrow this new skin and once again be asked to shed.
The invitation is to hold multiple truths this year- you are no longer who you thought yourself to be, nor will you stay as who you have become- the fire horse will move you quickly into multiple aspects and versions of self and you will come out a powerful, wise, and authentic creature known only to yourself.
Stay grounded. Remain loving to yourself and your process. Get comfortable being uncomfortable.
What you have been moving through, collapsing and rebuilding will not be for naught- it has prepared you for this moment- this opportunity- for you to fully expand into yourself and test out using your authentic power.
It is time to charge- ensure it’s the current you in the saddle and not a previous version that you shed and you will be just fine.
May we embrace these incredible energies, and trust ourselves so deeply that our gifts, self love, and highest timelines coalesce into the life of our dreams.
